After a huge launch just three weeks ago, Digicel’s 2010 Treasure Hunt promotion created such a buzz among customers eagerly searching for and winning prizes from the Bigger, Better Network. Nine Digicel customers have been awarded with cash and prizes valued over $6,000 in total.

With Digicel’s Treasure Hunt, customers receive hints on where Digicel Treasures are hidden within popular locations around Basseterre/Charlestown. To participate, customers simply text the word CLUE to 2588 or listen to their local radio stations. A range of prizes are up for grabs until the promotion ends on September 3^rd, including cash, handsets, credit, all-expense paid trips and a whole month’s salary (up to $3,000).

The first winner, Sheldon Augustus, rushed to the Digicel Flagship Store on Fort Street on 23^rd July, right after receiving the clue on his phone which hinted that the treasure was hidden ‘In a red store on the main street in Basseterre’. After finding the clue Sheldon dipped into the Digicel Treasure Chest to select his prize, and proudly walked away with a brand new Samsung 5230 handset. “I just love the Digicel Treasure Hunt promotion!” he exclaimed, “Now I have a touch-screen phone I can upload all of my favourite music. This is definitely an upgrade to the handset I have right now, thanks to The Bigger, Better Network!”

Within following weeks, Donya Francis, Sharon Harvey and Ray Daley each won a minimum of $250 in Cash each by finding the clues. They all commended the Network for such a fun and exciting way to win.

Other Digicel cash prize winners to date are Coretta Williams, Juta Francis, Laurel Williams and Nakita Liburd, along with Davelynn Lopez who won herself an all-expense paid trip to Antigua. Each presented seven scratch cards spelling the word ‘TREASURE’, and have automatically been entered into the $10,000 Final Draw.

Every time Digicel customers top up $15 or more, purchase any handset on special, sign up for any postpaid plan or pay their bills in full and on time, they are handed a Treasure Hunt card. Each card bears a letter, and should the customer spell out the word ‘TREASURE’ he/she too will dip into the Digicel Treasure Chest and qualify for the $10,000 Grand Prize Final Draw.
