DIGICEL SUPPORTS WINN FM’S CHRISTMAS SHORT STORY COMPETITION
BASSETERRE – ST. KITTS (JANUARY 6th, 2010)—An assembly of eager, excited young students gathered in the courtyard of the Dr. William Connor Primary School on the morning of Wednesday 6th January, 2010 to collectively congratulate Mikayla Harris, the winner of the WinnFM Student Christmas Short Story Competition. The contest was held in December, 2009, and runners up hailed from other participating schools.
Digicel, in line of its aim to continue to strongly support educational activities for young ones sponsored the contest and awarded Mikayla with a 1st place trophy, a mobile phone and a goodie bag filled with items apt for a blossoming young student. Digicel understands the need for parents, teachers and students to have constant communication with each other, and as such the Network decided to enhance and make communication easier by adding an additional means of communication, presenting the Dr. William Connor Primary school itself with a desktop mobile phone and credit of $100 per month for one year.
