1.      What is the Digicel Talk plan?

·        Digicel Talk plan is a plan which gives prepaid customers unlimited Local Digi to Digi calls at cost of $20 for 5 days on Digicel to Digicel talk time daily.

·        All local Digi to Digi calls are zero-rated within the service period (5 days or within the 4 hrs)

·        After the service period has expired the customer goes back to normal billing unless their reactivate the service. The service cost $20 for a five (5) day period subject on Digi – Digi talk time daily.

 

2.      What is the subscription for the Digicel Talk plan?

·         The subscription fee for the Digicel Talk plan is EC $20 for 5 days on Digicel to Digicel Talk time daily.


3.      How does this Plan work?

  • Once a Digicel customer has activated the service, they will automatically get FREE Local Digi to Digi calls.
  • The plan is valid for five (5) days after activation.
  • A customer will be subject to only make Digicel to Digicel calls daily.

·         If other call types are made then regular calling rates will apply.

4.      Who can activate the Digicel Talk plan?

·         ALL Digicel Prepaid customers have access to this service.

 

5.      Are Post-paid /Corporate customers eligible for the service?

·        NO. Only prepaid and prepaid CUG Customers are eligible for the service.

 

6.      What are the benefits of activating the Digicel Talk plan?

·         Customers will be able to access free local Digi to Digi calls for 5 days.

 

7.      How do I activate the Digicel Talk plan?

STEPS:

1.    Dial *134# SEND to initiate.

2.    Once the request is received the customer will receive the instruction text messages as seen below:

·         Message 2: For Digicel Talk at a cost of $20EC dial *134*10#

Once the request has been received the customer will be prompted to confirm payment for the plan via the following text message:

4.    Once the activation is complete, a final confirmation text message is sent advising the customer that the plan is now active.


8.      How long does a Customer have to activate the Digicel Talk plan?

  • A customer has a 30 minute time period in which to complete the activation process. This is from the time the first message was received.

 

9.       What happens if the activation process is not completed within the 30 minute time period?

  • The customer receives an SMS stating your request to activate the Digicel unlimited Plans has expired.
  • The customer has to restart the activation procedure.

 

10.   As a customer, how can I query the service expiry on my Digicel International calling plan?


 

11.   Once the Digicel Talk plan has been activated can I deactivate it in the middle or any other point before the end of the plan?

  • NO. The customer has to remain on that plan for the remainder of the time.
  • The Plan is valid for 5-days; all benefits will expire at that time. At the end of each 5-day period customers will have to re-activate the service if they wish to continue.
  • Customers will receive the following message 1 day before the end of each 5 day period:

·         “Your Digicel Talk will expire on ^EXPIRE_DATE^

·         Customers will receive the following message on the day that the plan has expired.

o     Your subscription to the Digicel Talk valid to ^EXPIRE_DATE^ has been terminated

 

12.   As a Digicel Talk plan subscriber, must I have credit on my account to use the service?

·        No. As an unlimited plan subscriber, you are not required to have credit on your account to make Local Digi to Digi calls.

 

13.   Will I receive any SMS bundles with my Digicel Talk plan?

  • No. the Digicel talk plan does not include any SMS bundles. Only Local Digi to Digi calls is applicable.
  • You will be charged at the regular rate for making other types of calls, sending SMS, and to access all other Digicel services (e.g. GPRS, Data and Roaming services.).

 

  • When I am roaming will I still receive the benefits of the Digicel Talk plan? The benefit of Digicel talk is ONLY available within the home network. Therefore once the unlimited plan customer is roaming, roaming charges will be applied to their account.

 

14.   As a prepaid user, if my account is in a deactive state can I activate the Digicel Talk plan?

  • No. If your account is in a deactive state you cannot activate the Digicel Talk plan, your account must be in an active state.

 

15.   As a prepaid user, if my account is in a deactive (no airtime) state can I still make calls via the Digicel Talk plan?

 

16.   No. If your account is in a deactive state you would not be able to take advantage of the Digicel Talk plan.

 

17.   What happens if I try re activating the Digicel Talk plan during the 5 day period?

  • If a customer who is currently on the Digicel Talk plan tries dialing *134# they would simply get an expiry date notification.

18.   As a prepaid user, if my account is in an inactive (no credit) state can I still send SMS to the approved destinations?

Yes. If your account is in an inactive state you can still be able to send SMS to the applicable destinations.
